HIV Counseling and Testing

One of the most important services offered by LCS is on site HIV counseling and testing. Funded by the Connecticut Department of Health, on site testing allows us to provide the necessary support to individuals being tested for HIV through counseling and referral services. This program is one the primary points of entry to the agency. It allows us to identify HIV positive individuals or those at-risk for the disease and channel them through our network of referrals and services. Testing is confidential or anonymous and services are free of charge.

Individuals are offered one-on-one, client centered informational sessions in which they are made aware of basic HIV information, testing procedures, and receive counseling that is relevant to their situation.
