Ybello Yvette Bello, Executive Director

 Yvette Bello joined Latino Community Services (LCS) in June 2005 and is currently serving as the Executive Director.

She is focused on identifying health disparities, designing, and implementing quality programs to address the needs of Latinos and other disproportionately affected minority groups within Connecticut.  

Ms. Bello has earned her Bachelor’s and Masters of Science in Business Management and has her Masters in Business Administration. Ms. Bello is commited to Latino Community Services and supports her community by serving on the Medical Interpreting Association of Connecticut board, The Ryan White Latino Caucus, the Connecticut Associations for Nonprofits board and the Mayor's Commission on AIDS.

Prior to joining LCS, Ms. Bello served six years with the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Ms. Bello served within the Office of Health Communications amidst some high profile media situations such as the 911 event, Anthrax in CT, Implementation of Connecticut Smallpox Plan, Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) events, and West Nile Virus. Within the Office of Affirmative Action, Ms. Bello worked extensively toward automating and expanding the agency’s employment recruitment program and revitalizing the agency’s Affirmative Action Employee Advisory Committee, doubling its membership size within a year, while engaging the agency with diversity focused, cultural presentations.

While working with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, she served a total of eight years with the Connecticut Army National Guard, 141st Medical Company in New Britain, CT.
