Social Networks Testing
Social Networks Strategy (SNS) is a targeted and focused approach that has been shown to be successful in finding people with undiagnosed HIV infection and getting them connected to services. This strategy builds on preexisting trust and social connections, allowing access to otherwise hidden populations. In a two-year demonstration project funded by the CDC, agencies using a social networks approach for HIV testing had a 6-13% incidence rate among the people tested.
