ACTION ALERT!

CALL YOUR LEGISLATORS TODAY!
ASK THEM TO:
REJECT INCREASED CO-PAYS FOR MEDICAID RECIPIENTS

The Governor and legislative leaders are considering adjustments to the FY 2011 budget, including proposals that would significantly limit access to services and medication for many people with mental illnesses.

The Governor's budget proposes to:

Impose co-pays on all Medicaid recipients.

Increase prescription co-pays for those on Medicaid and Medicare.

Numerous studies show that co-pays reduce access to critical care and disproportionately impact the poorest and most disabled individuals.

The state is asking those with the least resources - many of whom have serious and debilitating illnesses - to pay the biggest burden during this fiscal crisis.

TELL YOUR LEGISLATORS TO OPPOSE THESE HARMFUL POLICIES

Call your legislators TODAY.

Ask them to urge leadership to reject these co-pays.
